Earthquake risk assessment of real estates of the Federal Republic of Germany abroad

The ministry of exterior uses various buildings worldwide. Some of these buildings are situated in areas with high earthquake risk.

At the moment these estates are assessed on the basis of the actual Global Seismic Hazard Map at their earthquake safety.

For buildings, who require more detailed investigations in the scope of this assessment we act as consultant.

Im Rahmen dieser Gutachten erfolgt die Beurteilung auf Basis umfangreicher örtlicher Bestandsuntersuchungen und der Auswertung vorhandener Bestandsunterlagen und lokaler Normen.

The expertise is done on the basis of comprehensive in-situ Investigations and evaluation of available documents and local codes.

As far as it is necessary calculations are performed by rough estimated or with complex models.

The aim of the investigations is the final judgement of the stability in case of earthquake by use of a factor of sufficiency, which refers to actual europeen codes. If it is required we develop concepts and masterplans for rehabilitation and an estimation of costs for the measures.
